Preparing materials for the dyslexic learner
Dyslexic individuals can be as efficient as anybody else if the learning environment conforms to some basic rules that help everybody to find information quickly and easily. Everybody learns best from well-edited, structured information, appropriately presented material, and the dyslexic individual is no exception. However, it may be true to say that they are more susceptible to failure if these rules are not followed.
This module provides a brief introduction to the issues and provides practical advice on how one should prepare different types of materials for dyslexic individuals. As a result, this module sets out a framework for understanding and evaluating the materials with particular emphasis on the needs of the dyslexic individual.
